Our inspections are performed by the InterNACHI standards of practice which can be found by visiting https://www.nachi.org/sop.htm
All inspectors hold current Credentials/memberships with the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI), which is the only Inspector college in the country accredited by the department of education.
We service Atlanta and all surrounding areas for your convenience!
Radon gas is the second leading cause of lung cancer deaths in the U.S., according to the Surgeon General. One out of 15 homes is estimated to have dangerously elevated radon levels. The Surgeon General and the Environmental Protection Agency recommend testing all houses.
A home is probably the biggest purchase you’ll ever make, so it’s important to understand the condition of your investment. I’ll provide a non-invasive evaluation of the home’s accessible structure, systems and components. While a home inspection can’t reveal every concern that exists, it will significantly reduce your anxiety by arming you with the knowledge you need to make an informed home-buying decision.
After the seller completes the negotiated repairs or a utility that was off during the initial inspection is now on, we can return to property and re-evaluate the components.
“Pre-drywall” refers to a phase during the homebuilding process just after the installation of certain elements – such as the doors, windows, foundation, flooring, wall, and roof components, plumbing and electrical rough-in – and right before the drywall is hung. This in-progress or construction-phase inspection is useful because drywall can obscure some aspects of the interior and make identifying or fixing any problems both difficult and expensive once the new home is finished.
We will perform a visual/conditional inspection of the agreed upon system and components only and will provide you with a written report of our findings and opinions.
Your pool maintenance professional is responsible only for the pool’s chemistry and cleanliness. Let me inspect it for all the other items that will ensure its proper condition and safety. I follow a comprehensive checklist and will inspect for the following: water level; leaks; valves; main drains, grates and inlets; blockages, debris, staining and biological growth; heater and thermostat; adequate fencing and gate security; deck safety; electrical safety, switches, alarms, lighting and more.
Also known as a "termite letter," an official Georgia Wood Infestation Inspection Report documents any visible signs of active or previous infestations of subterranean termites, dry wood termites, powder post beetles, wood-boring beetles or wood-decaying fungi.
Although radon is a naturally occurring gas in our environment, it's also the second leading cause of lung cancer deaths in the U.S., according to the Surgeon General. One out of 15 homes is estimated to have dangerously elevated radon levels. The Surgeon General and the Environmental Protection Agency recommend testing all houses. Millions of Americans have had their homes tested for radon, and you should, too.
A sewer scope inspection uses a video attached to a snake-like cable to examine the home's sewer line. This privately-owned pipeline leads from the house to the publicly owned main sewer line or septic tank. Sewer scope inspection can reveal damage to the pipes, blockages, and other problems
We use a state-of-the-art infrared camera to find problems that aren’t always apparent to the naked eye. An IR camera translates the heat signatures of objects into colors on a gradient scale. By evaluating these images, I can detect sources of energy loss, locate areas of moisture intrusion, pinpoint dangerous hot spots in the electrical system, and uncover other problems, such as wood-destroying pest and rodent infestations, as well as flue leaks in the chimney.
Our inspectors can verify whether your new residential or commercial property has plumbing fixtures which comply with the Low Flow Ordinance guidelines. If your property meets the necessary standards, you'll immediately receive the Certificate of Compliance required by DeKalb County to turn your water on.
The repair estimate report uses the details from your inspection report to create cost estimates you can use to negotiate, saving hours of work and placing you in the best possible negotiating position.
30, 60 or 90 minutes of a home inspector’s time to evaluate any areas of concern you may have with your prospective home. A Walkthrough consultation is not a full home inspection, is not intended to remove the need for a full home inspection and no pictures or report are provided. With our walkthrough consultation, you can be more prepared for possible major expenses you may incur and can make a more educated decision to proceed with making a competitive offer or to continue house hunting.
